APPLECROSS - SHIELDAIG - KISHORN - INVERNESS WEDNESDAYS AND SATURDAYS (RETURN) A new bus service started in February 2006, running every Wednesday and Saturday from Applecross, along the coast road to Shieldaig, then on to Kishorn, through to Lochcarron and onward to Inverness, terminating at the main bus station; scheduled arrival time 11.15 am. The return journey departs from Stand 1 at 15.00 hours. Passengers wishing to travel from Applecross, Shieldaig and Kishorn are on request and will be required to make a booking up to 18.00 hours (6 pm) the night before, by telephoning 01520 722205. If you are over 60 years of age and you do not already have a bus pass, you can apply for one from the Locality Office, thus enabling you to have free travel.

MOBILE TELEPHONES Work in the area. Vodofone tend to have the best coverage. Best tip, If there is no signal... move 20 metres (preferably up!)
Internet The Ben Damph Lodge has internet acces for e mails. Broadband was intoduced to the area late 2005 The Torridon and Shieldaig Hotels both have fast wireless Internet access. |
