Wester Ross is one of the most remote and beautiful parts of Britain - many say the world. Largely unpopulated and surrounded by high peaks and sea lochs, the area is recognised as one of Europe's last wildernesses. This site is designed to give a flavour of the area with images, maps and some historical background.
For more practical help including tourist information and holiday accommodation, follow the links at the bottom of each page.
I created this site, not as a comprehensive guide to the area, but as a personal view, using photographs I have taken and information that I have acquired.(As I discover more of the area, no doubt the site will grow). Visit www.SteveCarter.com for more photographs. Also, as the site is under constant construction, do visit again.
