Steve Carter uses much of his time in the Highlands raising money for local charities. If you've bought a CD Rom whilst in the Torridon area, you may be interested in the following:.

In 2001 Steve created a CD Rom illustrating the natural history of the Western Highlands. The CD was sponsored by the Loch Torridon Hotel, and made £3000 for the Torridon Mountain Rescue Team and W.W.F. Scotland.

In 2002 the International Otter Survival Fund were the beneficiaries - with a downloadable screen saver from this site.

For 2003/4 Steve chose to create a CD Rom with screen saver of photos taken over several years throughout the Highlands and Islands. The retailers who sell the disk selected their own favourite local charity or good cause. These include the Shieldaig Primary School, and the Howard Doris Centre in Lochcarron. At least £1 from the sale of each CD Rom go to these good causes. The CD Roms are still for sale in the Western Highlands. About 40 of the photos are on this site and available as free Windows Wallpaper
